Riverside by Rick Morrissette

My layout is a 60' four lane mirror image of the Riverside International Raceway,  in Riverside Calf. from 1957 to 1988. I saw the layout in the first issue of  Model Car Racing and liked it.

It's got a nice long straight, a few short shoots, a hairpin, and the dreaded esses.
I flipped the layout so the long straight is in the front, and my pit lane and garage are in the back. The track is made up of 3 Artin 4 lane sets, and even the pit road is Artin though it is 1/43rd scale! The pits, garage & the rest of the structures I built from 3/16 foam-core, and styrene. An Artin grandstand sacrificed it's stairs and railings for the victory lane. I use a 25 amp Pyramid power supply, and a Track-mate timing system.

Excellent work...and more than a few smiles as well. I like a track with a personality, and this layout qualifies!
