"Circuit de Flatlander"
by Rich & Kimberly Hardy

Hey, Harry! First of all, I would like to say what a great website! A collection of real people building stuff in their homes! I would like to enclose a few photos of our track. It looks like everybody uses plastic track here but I would like to show my 2 lane routed track my wife and I put together. "Circuit de Flatlander" has 2 lanes, approx. 59 ft per lane. All the barriers and barrels are hand made from balsa stock and wooden dowels. Catch fences are made from metal screen with 1/16" piano wire for poles. I wanted to make it four lane but I didn't have the space I needed to achieve the lane footage. At the time, we couldn't afford plastic track to put on the table, so I made the table the track! Most of the stickers you see on the borders are cut from various car magazines. We are always adding stuff but here it is so far.

Thanks - Rich
