Pelican Park Speedway, Eugene, OR. A 4 lane routed MDF track 66 feet length/lane. Designed to be easily turn-marshaled by 4 people, this track provides a road course for its 15 members to race their 350+ 1/24th scratch built, hard-bodied cars that are divided into 12 distinct classes depicting the History of motor sports from the 1930's to the present.


'60's era Shelby pits & cars

Track power from standard 12V auto battery kept charged by battery charger with 10 connection points per lane. Lap counter by open/close switches connected to analog lap counters. Fully landscaped, the 9 foot long pit structure is a sort of generic pit building much seen in Europe Post WWII to the seventies.

Brownstone buildings of the Little town are Fischer-Price toys amazingly 1/24th in scale, found at local Good Will. All other structures scratch built. Presently the model population is close to 300 figures.

1996 Rebuild!

I have seen and heard about this layout for years. Tom Messinger was good enough to send in shots of the track and action for all of us to enjoy. Thanks Tom, you folks have a wonderful track and should inspire many in our hobby! - Harry
