New NINCO STREET VETTE!

The very latest model from NINCO has arrived here and after a few days of testing it has shown itself to be just as much fun as any "race" version before it. Not everyone enjoys running street models like this, but for those that do I think you will enjoy a closer look.

On the outside this model is very well done. The body is molded in color but there is enough clear-coat here to give it a very nice finish. Looking at prototype photos shows that NINCO has came very close to brining us this famous hot rod in scale. Nothing is perfect of course, but hopefully the photos tell you most of the story.

The model has a driver and co-driver present and the interior detail is more than adequate for most racers. The roof can be removed if you want to go topless, but you will have to trim away the excess plastic that it mounts to.

Wheels and tires are standard NINCO fare. The wheels are close enough to the prototype to provide decent scale appeal although street cars like this in the 1:1 world did have large white-wall tires. It would be difficult to provide this type of Tampo marking on the tires and looking down the road at heavy use of this model tells me I am glad the decided not to try to replicate it. Tampo markings on rubber tires like these sometimes are easily worn away during racing. If they did try to bring white-walls, after some time it would begin to crack and actually take away from the appearance of the model.

Inside everything is the same as the Vette before it. The standard NINCO button magnet and NC-5 Speeder motor are the heart of the car and provide more than ample down-force and power. I know some enthusiasts want even more magnet, but all of the racers here at our shop, including many others on our forums actually want a car that provides a challenge. I like the fact that NINCO keeps with this lighter magnet set-up as it is becoming a nice contrast to the magnet heavy models others produce.

In the end this model may not appeal to everyone but if your a fan of street machines I think you should closer. We enjoy racing these models regardless if there is a number on the door and I think you will too. Fun is the bottom line in our hobby and I think this model will deliver that to many of you.
